A Man’s Near-Death Experience at Fish Magnet’s Candlelight Procession
A man who was part of the candlelight procession for Fish Magnet has shared a harrowing account of his experience during the event. The individual, who identifies as a member of the Ratel gang, described how he nearly lost his life and was rescued by a prominent figure known as VeryDarkMan. He praised VeryDarkMan for his actions that ensured the safety of everyone present.
The man, whose name is Oluebube, emphasized the significance of respecting and fearing Martins Vincent Otse, widely recognized as VeryDarkMan. He highlighted the influence this individual holds, which played a key role in drawing a large crowd for the candlelight procession.
On Tuesday, August 5, VeryDarkMan led a group of mourners to pay their final respects to Ifesinachi Onyekere, better known as Fish Magnet, who was found dead in Anambra on Sunday, July 27. In a video shared online, Oluebube recounted how he almost died during the procession. He claimed that he was pushed and stepped on so severely that VeryDarkMan had to intervene and save him.
“I trekked barefoot for almost five hours... I was stepped on and pushed to the point that VeryDarkMan began pitying me,” he said. “It got to a point where VeryDarkMan had to drag and hold me.”
He also mentioned that his slippers were damaged, forcing him to walk barefoot for most of the time. His story, told in Pidgin English, resonated with many people. “If you don’t fear VeryDarkMan, you see today, fear him. I’m not joking.
