Reconnecting Through Memories and Apologies

Yoo Jae-seok and Park Myung-soo recently shared heartfelt moments recalling their time together on the iconic variety show "Infinite Challenge." Their reunion, which took place during a recent appearance on MBC's "What Are You Doing When You Play?" brought back nostalgic memories and opened up a conversation about past misunderstandings.

During the episode, Park Myung-soo expressed his feelings, jokingly saying, "I'm living lonely, hard, and in need. Yoo Jae-seok abandoned me and raised a tough guy, so I'm holding on by myself, but now I'm standing tall and doing well." His words sparked laughter among the audience and the other guests, including Ha-ha. However, beneath the humor, there was a clear sense of affection for Yoo Jae-seok.

Yoo Jae-seok responded with warmth, stating, "I missed you a lot. It's nice to see you healthy for the first time in a long time." The emotional moment deepened when Park Myung-soo hugged Yoo Jae-seok and said, "Jae-seok helped me a lot," with an affectionate expression. Ha-ha, who was watching, then playfully asked, "Didn't you talk behind Jae-seok's back?" To which Yoo Jae-seok replied, "Myung-soo apologized," with a smile.

The conversation continued as Park Myung-soo recalled a past incident where Yoo Jae-seok called him and asked, "How are you? I heard you're cursing me?" Ha-ha and Seok-jin confirmed, "Yes, that's right. I'm sorry. What should I do when I have a witness?" Park Myung-soo admitted honestly, giving a smile. Yoo Jae-seok responded, "I'll forgive you because you admitted it and you told me honestly. Thank you," while Park laughed and added, "The others are not welcome, only you are welcome."

Park also reflected on how much he missed the time they spent together on "Infinite Challenge." He said, "I missed this time. You take it and make it fun. We fought, but we laughed at each other." Yoo Jae-seok then mentioned the special 'Aerobic' segment, recalling, "I asked him to practice one more time before the competition, and he said he can't do it! I threw the CD."

A video clip from "Infinite Challenge" showed Park Myung-soo refusing to practice and Yoo Jae-seok teasing him. At that time, Park had suggested practicing aerobics, saying, "We should go and see the baby. I'll bake CDs and practice separately." Yoo Jae-seok then handed over the lid of a cup noodle instead of the CD, leading to Park hitting him on the head with the lid.

Yoo Jae-seok later reflected on how his perspective changed over time. "After time, I understand the feelings of Myung-soo and the members at that time. I just thought Myung-soo was just 'He's so mean,' but when I got married later, I felt why he did it." He added, "As if you have to become a parent to know how your parents feel and how you feel when you get older, there are some things that made you angry when you change your position and think about it."

In response, Park Myung-soo finally apologized for the incident, saying, "I'm sorry to think about it now. It really wasn't like that, but I was mentally struggling. We have to be funny, but we can't be funny if we're mentally tired, right?" This was the first time he openly apologized for the incident after 17 years. Yoo Jae-seok concluded, "In conclusion, we all meet again and spend time like this again. That's life."
