Supporting the Future of Golf in Jeju

Jeju Cypress Golf & Resort has partnered with the Yeonam Scholarship Foundation to provide financial support and practical opportunities for young golf players in Jeju. On the 9th, a total of 10 million won was awarded to 18 promising students from elementary, middle, and high schools. In addition to the monetary support, each recipient also received a free practice round ticket valid for one year.

The Yeonam Scholarship Foundation has been dedicated to supporting youth in Jeju by offering scholarships to high school and college students annually. This initiative aligns with the foundation's mission to nurture talent and provide educational opportunities to those in need.

Through collaboration with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Golf Association, 18 aspiring golfers were selected—six from each grade level. The selection process was based on the results of the "1st Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Superintendent Bae Jeondo Junior Golf Championship," ensuring fairness and merit-based recognition.

Kim Yoon-tae, director of the Yeonam Scholarship Association, emphasized the importance of this partnership. He stated, "We have always supported Jeju students according to the founder's vision. It is truly rewarding to see our efforts extend to promising golf players through the support of Cypress."

Cypress plans to continue its Jeju Golf Dream Tree Scholarship Project, which aims to inspire and empower young athletes. The provision of free golf round tickets is expected to offer practical training opportunities, helping participants refine their skills and pursue their passion for the sport.

A Unique Golf Experience

Located at an elevation of 250-300 meters above sea level, Jeju Cypress Golf & Resort offers a scenic and natural setting. The course is surrounded by Hallasan Mountain and seven Oreum, creating a breathtaking backdrop for golfers. Designed by Dai Design Group, one of the world’s top 10 course designers, the layout emphasizes eco-friendly principles. The design ensures coexistence with the environment, avoiding any damage to nature while maintaining a challenging yet enjoyable experience.

The resort features a strategic layout with a membership course (west-north) and a public festival course (east-south), totaling 36 holes across a vast area of 550,000 pyeong within a 1.95 million pyeong ranch. The course is known for its vibrant seasonal flowers, particularly highlighted during the Hydrangea Festival, which runs from June to August along the entrance path.

For visitors seeking a relaxing stay, the resort offers a range of accommodations. The golf hotel features two types of independent villas: 38 pyeong and 49 pyeong. Additionally, the village provides luxurious living spaces in four sizes: 57 pyeong, 68 pyeong, 78 pyeong, and 107 pyeong.

Guests can enjoy various amenities, including an outdoor barbecue garden party at the lawn square near the golf hotel. The lounge area is also popular, offering a perfect spot for post-golf dinners and socializing.
