Lee Mi-joo Shares Insights on Malicious Comments and Her New Car
On the 8th, a video titled “Just Lee Mi-ju” was released on YouTube, featuring Lee Mi-joo from Lovelyz. In this video, she visited Sinchon to explore its famous spicy food scene, sharing her experience as part of a new concept.
Lee Mi-joo expressed her excitement about returning to Sinchon, noting that it had been a while since her last visit. She mentioned that her only reason for coming was during her time with Woollim, adding that she was glad to be there.
As she entered a restaurant and started eating, the production team asked if she had ever performed in Sinchon before. She recalled that she had done so when she was part of Lovelyz. She also shared some personal stories from her trainee days, revealing how strict the rules were. “I used to practice from 10 to 10,” she said. “We weren’t allowed to have phones, go out, or even visit convenience stores. But we managed to eat secretly.”
However, the most significant part of the video focused on the malicious comments Lee Mi-joo received. When asked about mistakes she might have made, she responded, “None.” She then shared a message she received: “I hope you don’t appear on the show. Where are you going to get nervous and sing X and take up the portion?” The comment included strong negative language, which left Lee Mi-joo amused. She joked, “Isn’t it funny?” and added, “I don’t report it. If I do, I won’t get any more messages.”
Despite her light-hearted response, fans watching the video felt sad, as they could sense her pain. Lee Mi-joo later posted another video titled “U.S. Volkswagen Releases,” where she discussed her reaction to the luxury car, Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, known as the “G-Wageng.”
The video, posted four days prior, had already reached over 300,000 views. Lee Mi-joo expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much for watching so many times.” She then read some of the comments aloud, including one that said, “It’s to certify that you’re a Golbin.” Another comment mentioned the high cost of the car, prompting Lee Mi-joo to laugh.
She also shared the story behind her purchase of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, calling it her first car after getting her license. She admitted she was too lazy to get her license initially but decided to make a reservation first, thinking it would help her secure the car. When asked why she chose the G-Wageng, she replied, “I didn’t know the car. I asked people, and they said it was pretty. I’m rather thin-eared.”
