A Call for Generosity and Expansion at the RCCG Convention

During the 2025 RCCG convention, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the respected leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), made a compelling request to his congregation. He asked for substantial financial contributions to support the expansion and development of the church’s campground. This call for donations sparked widespread discussion on social media, as followers shared their reactions to the pastor’s message.

The request was made during a live broadcast on Dove TV, the church’s official television station. Pastor Adeboye outlined specific amounts that he hoped members would contribute. He stated:
"But right now, I need at least 10 of my children who can give me N1 billion each. And then I need 100 of my children who can give me N100 million each. And I need 1000 of my children who can give me N10 million each. And then I need the rest of you who can give me anything you want from N1 million to 2 to 3 or even N1,000."

This detailed breakdown showed the scale of the project and the level of participation required from the church community. However, the pastor emphasized that the funds should not be sent directly to his personal account. Instead, he clarified that the money would be used for the expansion of the RCCG campground, ensuring that all resources were allocated transparently.

Key Areas Requiring Immediate Attention

Pastor Adeboye highlighted several critical areas that needed urgent improvement to accommodate the growing number of attendees at the camp. These projects were aimed at enhancing the overall experience for church members and ensuring that the facilities could handle the increasing demand.

  1. Enlargement of Choir Altar
The choir altar, originally designed to accommodate 10,000 choirists, has been outgrown due to the rising number of participants. Many singers are now sitting on the floor, and some areas remain unviewed by the camera. The pastor stressed the need to expand the altar before December 2025 to meet the current demands.

  2. Building More Dormitories
With an ever-growing crowd, the church needs additional dormitory space to provide comfortable accommodation for attendees. Pastor Adeboye described this as a "good problem," indicating that the high attendance was a sign of the church’s growth. However, he urged the congregation to act quickly to address the issue.

  3. New Water System
The existing water system, which has served the camp for over two decades, is reaching its capacity due to the large number of people. The pastor called for the development of a more robust water infrastructure to ensure adequate supply for the expanding population.

  4. Electric Power Supply
As the church expands its buildings and dormitories, the demand for electricity will also increase. Pastor Adeboye noted that the power supply must be upgraded to support the new structures and the growing number of users.

  5. Bigger Sewage System
Alongside the expansion of dormitories, the sewage system will also require upgrades. The pastor emphasized that these improvements must be completed before December to avoid any disruptions in service.

Additional Highlights from the Convention

In addition to the fundraising and expansion efforts, Pastor Adeboye shared another significant update during the event. He announced that 50 babies had been born at the RCCG Camp Ground during the ongoing annual convention. This news added a heartwarming note to the proceedings, highlighting the spiritual and communal aspects of the gathering.

As the convention continued, the focus remained on the church’s vision for growth and the collective effort required to achieve it. The messages delivered by Pastor Adeboye not only addressed practical concerns but also inspired the congregation to play an active role in supporting the church’s mission.
